Reset your relationship with the Board Chair
Sara Wilson, CPCC |
Ever had a day when you wished there was a reset button on your relationship with your board chair? I certainly have.
Like the movie Groundhog Day, there is little worse than repeating the same mistake over and over…and over.
Why not use the RESET button? It takes:
- Courage: to admit a relationship isn’t optimal;
- Time: to have the conversation; and,
- Commitment: to work on improvements.
One of the most important relationships in an organization is between the Executive and the Board Chair. How is your relationship? In my published article Dynamic Duo: The Board Chair and Executive you’ll find actions you can take to strengthen this vital relationship.
Remember what Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” If you want different results in your relationship there is no time like now to take steps to “Reset.”
